Ahh...my dear fans, due to bad weather and poor internet connection, I did not post anything last weekend...so there will (hopefully) be 2 installments this week.
So...what do you all think? Aren't the flowers wonderful? I've got more pictures to share in this installment. For some reason unbeknownst to me, all the 'blomin' activities (pardon the pun) have been more vigorous this week! So, I have added some photos of the plants from the previous installment to do them justice.

Before...(scroll down...all the way down...) |
Have you seen a purple tree before? Pink? Sure, PURPLE - No...But they exist! I've been told that they are called jackarandas here...I see them as the equivalent to the sakura trees in Japan. Unfortunately, unlike Japan, there is no organised 'hanabi' picnics here. Transplanting the concept to this part of the world would be great though.
Radishes!!! Sprouting radishes!!!
If you would recall, I mentioned a Project Turnip last week...it is supposed to be called Project Radish!!! My mushy brain confused turnips and radishes!!! @-@

mah babies... |
Back to progress update...radishes are sprouting all over and so far I have counted over 40 sprouts with new ones popping out every day. Woo hoo!! There are still some weeks to go, so fingers crossed ya. This is 'you reap what you sow' in a literal sense!
I was not expecting the seeds to sprout soo quickly, so imagine my surprise (a good one of course) when I came home the third day after the seeds were sown to see little green shoots coming out of the pot. Then the whole scene got a little sentimental (silly goose)...I am witnessing the miracle of life. So okay, it is not like seeing a baby coming into this world, but it is still a pretty amazing feeling.
Someone asked me if I felt like the radishes were my babies and I said yes...the perverse thing is I have every intention of eating the radishes when they mature...ewwww...I might need to rethink this one. On the bright side though, this is not as bad as the time when we had chickens (which had names)!
